After 14 years’ maturation in traditional oak casks, this single malt is given a special finish in ex-Caribbean rum casks, which gives it its distinctive character. The idea for this extraordinary cask combination came from long-standing Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE, who had selected Caribbean rums filled into American oak casks to prepare them for the subsequent finish. This innovative maturation method blends Balvenie’s classic, honey-tinged style with the warm influences of the rum casks to create a harmonious and extraordinary composition.


Balvenie 14 Years Old Caribbean Cask Finish combines the elegant Speyside style with the sweet and spicy influences of the ex-rum casks. The finish enhances the whisky’s characteristic vanilla notes, adding further depth and warmth.
