Raki, Turkey’s renowned national drink, is an indispensable part of Turkish celebrations. Whether it’s a relaxed meal with friends at home, a large party or dinner in a restaurant – raki enriches every social gathering with its distinctive flavour.

This prized spirit has a tradition dating back some 300 years and is produced in Anatolia from carefully selected ingredients: aniseed, pure white granulated sugar and soft spring water. These components give raki its unmistakable aroma and delicate flavour.

In the first stage of the distillation process, selected grape varieties from Anatolia are processed. These grapes are harvested when ripe, dried and then fermented. In the subsequent second stage of distillation, high-quality Suma Pimpinella aniseed is added to the resulting mash. This step is crucial for the development of the flavour, as the aniseed perfectly complements the aromas of the grapes.
