A quiet country road leads to the small town of Saint-Jean-d’Angély, home to the historic Cognac Chabasse house – a magnificent 17th-century manor house. Here, the house’s current director, René-Luc Chabasse, continues the tradition of his ancestors with great dedication.

To emphasise the exceptional quality of his cognacs, Chabasse combines traditional craftsmanship with a unique design. An avid art lover, he commissioned the design of a curved bottle that blends aesthetics and elegance in a harmonious form.

The production of this VSOP cognac begins with the early harvest of carefully selected grapes, from which a light, fresh wine is pressed. This is followed by sulphur-free distillation using the Charentais method – a double distillation process that ensures exceptional purity and aromatic depth. The cognac is then aged for 4 to 5 years in Limousin oak casks before the various batches are blended into a masterfully composed cuvée.
