Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin is a unique fusion of Indonesian aromatic diversity and Dutch distilling expertise. Created in 2014 by the descendants of the Indonesian Jacobus Alfons (known as Bobby) in collaboration with the renowned genever producer Herman Jansen, this gin is based on a traditional Indonesian recipe that has been reinterpreted using modern expertise.

Produced in Schiedam, a town with a centuries-old tradition of gin and genever production, Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin combines the best of both worlds. The eight carefully selected botanicals – including cloves, coriander seeds, lemongrass, cubeb pepper, juniper, cinnamon, fennel seeds and rosehip – are distilled individually to preserve their characteristic flavours as effectively as possible. The distillates are then blended with the utmost precision to achieve a harmonious balance of spicy, fresh and floral notes.

The use of lemongrass and cubeb pepper lends this gin an exotic freshness, whilst cloves and cinnamon provide a pleasant warmth. This extraordinary combination makes Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin both a tribute to Bobby Alfons’ cultural roots and an innovative addition to the world of gin.
