Founded in 1995 by Hans Reisetbauer, the Reisetbauer schnapps distillery has established itself in Axberg, Upper Austria. A distinctive feature of the distillery is its focus on sustainable agriculture: all the raw materials required for production are organically grown and harvested on its own fields. The entire process, from bottling and labelling to packaging the bottles, is carried out by hand and with the utmost care. With the arrival of Hansi Junior, the company underwent a modernisation, reflected in the new design of the packaging, labels and brand name, which combines tradition and innovation.

Only the very best raspberries, which must meet strict quality criteria, are selected for Reisetbauer’s raspberry brandy. These raspberries are fully ripe at harvest, are characterised by an intense aroma and must be absolutely free from any impurities. These first-class fruits are used to produce a mash, which is then carefully fermented at around 16 °C to create the basis for the brandy. It takes 33 kg of these carefully selected and mashed raspberries to produce a single litre of this raspberry brandy.
