Uncle Val’s Peppered Gin is an exceptional American gin, bottled at 45 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle, in which various types of pepper, combined with classic juniper, create a distinctive, hearty and spicy profile. The key botanicals include juniper, black pepper, roasted red peppers and pimento, also known as cherry pepper. A distinctive feature lies in the production process: first, the alcoholic base is intensively filtered and purified before the selected botanicals are added after distillation. This allows the individual components to be specifically balanced against one another. Black pepper provides an intense spiciness, roasted red peppers contribute an earthy, smoky note, whilst pimento adds further savoury accents and juniper preserves the classic gin character.


Despite its pronounced peppery spiciness, Uncle Val’s Peppered Gin has been developed both for enjoying neat and as a versatile base for cocktails and long drinks. Its unusual botanical profile harmonises particularly well with citrus fruits, various other fruits and natural Sodawasser. The presentation also reflects Uncle Val’s distinctive style: the dark green bottle, manufactured in Italy with pronounced, tapered shoulders, is modelled on historic bitter bottles from the 18th and 19th centuries. The nostalgic label, featuring an image of Uncle Val reminiscent of a Roman coin, complements this design and links the spicy Peppered Gin to the brand’s identity, which is inspired by Italian artisanal tradition.
