Teaninich 10 Years Old is an impressive single malt Scotch whisky from the Scottish Highlands, characterised by its exceptional clarity, fresh aromas and spicy depth. The Teaninich Distillery, founded in 1817, is one of Scotland’s oldest, yet least well-known, distilleries. Nevertheless, it has made a name for itself amongst connoisseurs, particularly through its innovative distillation method. Unlike many other Scottish distilleries, Teaninich does not use a conventional mash filter, but instead employs the so-called ‘Lauter Tun’ process, in which the solid grain components are completely filtered out. The result is an exceptionally pure, oily and almost grassy whisky that stands out distinctly from other Highland malts.
