In the picturesque countryside of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation of his family to run a fruit-growing business steeped in tradition. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. He began distilling fine brandies in 1979, followed by the founding of his high-quality vinegar factory in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which are regularly recognised.

The Hands on Gin Small Batch is produced using just five essentials in double-distilled white rum. The juniper gives this gin the pleasant flavour that makes up the basic structure of a fine gin. In addition, the blackcurrant together with the white rum provides a pleasantly full mouthfeel and, like the juniper, contributes to a fine earthy-herbal note.
