The Royal Oporto 10 Years Old Tawny Port 20% vol. 0.75 l + GB is an elegant aged Tawny Port from Portugal, which develops a complex and harmonious bouquet thanks to its long cask ageing. Produced by the long-established Real Companhia Velha, this port from the Douro Valley is one of the classic examples of a 10-year-old Tawny Port. The grapes come from selected vineyards in the renowned Douro region, where they ripen under optimal climatic conditions. The grapes are hand-harvested in several stages to ensure only perfectly ripened grapes are selected. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented traditionally in stone vats. The wine is then aged for at least ten years in old oak casks, during which time it develops its characteristic tawny colour and complex aromas of nuts, dried fruit and subtle woody notes. With an alcohol content of 20% by volume, this 10-year-old Tawny Port is particularly rounded, smooth and complex.
