The Old Pulteney HUDDART The Maritime Malt is a distinctive Highland single malt Scotch whisky, launched in 2018 as part of a new core range from the long-established Old Pulteney Distillery. Named after Huddart Street in Wick, where the distillery is situated, this Maritime Malt clearly bears the salty influence of the North Sea coast. As a No Age Statement whisky, the Huddart focuses not on age but on cask strategy and character.


A defining feature of the Old Pulteney Huddart 46% is its finish in casks that previously held heavily peated Malts. This gives this Highland whisky with a Peated Cask Finish a subtle smoky note without losing its typical maritime character. The maturation process combines classic oak cask ageing with this special secondary maturation process, creating an exciting balance between fruit, sweetness, salt and smoke. Bottled at 46 per cent, without unduly altering its natural structure, this 0.7 l ‘The Maritime Malt’ is powerful, multi-layered and clearly defined. The bottle is supplied in a gift box, further emphasising its premium character.
