Bumbu XO Handcrafted Rum 40% ABV 0.7 l embodies the art of rum-making, combining Caribbean roots with modern precision. For this bottling, the Bumbu brand draws on a historic rum recipe from the 16th and 17th centuries, originally developed by sailors in the West Indies. Today, Bumbu XO is produced in Panama, where the finest sugar cane is distilled and the rum is processed with great care.
It is aged for up to 15 years in selected oak casks before the rum receives its final finish in ex-sherry casks from Spain. This combination of long cask maturation and sherry ageing lends the handcrafted rum its distinctive depth, elegant sweetness and complex structure. Ageing under tropical conditions intensifies the interaction with the casks and ensures a particularly rounded, smooth and distinctive character, which clearly sets Bumbu XO apart from classic molasses rums.
