Del Maguey VIDA Mezcal Clásico 42% ABV 0.7 l is an authentic mezcal artesanal from Oaxaca, Mexico, carefully crafted by hand from 100% Espadín agave. It forms part of Del Maguey’s VIDA range and is regarded as one of the best-known and most popular bottlings amongst connoisseurs and bartenders worldwide. Production follows centuries-old traditions: the agave hearts are slowly cooked in wood-fired earthen pits, ground using a traditional tahona stone mill, fermented in open wooden casks and then double-distilled in copper stills.
At 42% ABV, Del Maguey VIDA Clásico is a well-balanced mezcal with a characteristic smokiness and subtle sweetness. It is highly versatile – enjoyed both neat and in cocktails – and offers an excellent interplay of fruitiness, spice and earthy smokiness. The 0.7-litre bottle features a striking, colourful label that reflects the brand’s cultural roots in the communities of Oaxaca.
