The Tomatin CÙ BÒCAN SIGNATURE Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a lightly peated Highland single malt that showcases an unusually smoky side of the Tomatin Distillery. Whilst Tomatin is best known for its fruit-forward Highland style, the Cù Bòcan range features whiskies that combine subtle smokiness with a variety of cask types. The Signature Edition is matured in a selected combination of bourbon casks, Oloroso sherry casks and virgin oak casks made from North American oak. The interplay of these three cask types shapes the bottling’s distinctive character, blending gentle peat smoke with fruit, sweetness and the spicy notes of the wood.


Cù Bòcan Signature is bottled at 46% in a 0.7 l bottle, complete with a gift box, and carries no age statement (Non-Age Statement). Particularly noteworthy is its unadulterated presentation, as the whisky is not chill-filtered and retains its natural colour. In this way, Tomatin preserves the character of the distillate and the casks used as authentically as possible. The combination of bourbon, Oloroso sherry and North American virgin oak, together with the deliberately subtle peaty notes, makes this Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky an interesting introduction to the world of lightly peated whiskies and, at the same time, a distinctive alternative to significantly more heavily peated Scotch whiskies.
