The Justino’s winery, founded in 1870, is one of the region’s leading producers and is renowned for the highest quality and authentic enjoyment. The Fine Rich is a traditional blend of various white grape varieties that grow on the island’s barren, volcanic soils. After the harvest, the grapes are vinified using traditional methods and then matured in wooden casks using the Canteiro process. During this process, the wine is stored for several years in casks kept in the warm attics of the cellars, which gives it its characteristic depth, richness and complexity.
