Asbach GmbH, a renowned wine distillery in Rüdesheim am Rhein, uses only selected wines for its sophisticated ‘Rauh’ and ‘Feinbrand’ distillation processes. The distillates are first matured in Limousin oak casks and subsequently in particularly breathable German oak casks. These casks provide the fine spirits with optimal conditions to ‘breathe’ and allow their aromas to develop fully. A secret ageing and refining process gives every Asbach its radiant topaz colour and characteristic bouquet.

The bottle label is modelled on the original recipe from 1892, which the founder, Hugo Asbach, wrote down himself. The lion in the seal, the heraldic animal of the Asbach family, symbolises the founder’s courage as well as the strength and quality of the product.

For the Asbach Spezialbrand 15 Years, the master distiller has drawn upon his treasury of the finest aged distillates. Multiple distillation and careful maturation over 15 years – initially in Limousin oak casks, later in German oak casks – lend this brandy its unique character. The secret Asbach ageing and refinement process makes the Asbach Spezialbrand 15 Years an incomparable rarity that meets the highest standards.
