SeRum Ancon 10 Años is an elegant rum from Panama, bottled at 40 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle, which combines traditional Panama Rum-making with a fascinating historical tribute. It is made from sugar cane molasses grown in the fertile Pesé Valley in the province of Herrera. The rum is then aged for at least ten years in ex-bourbon casks, giving it its well-rounded balance of fruitiness, spice and subtle woody notes. The rum is named in honour of the SS Ancon, the first steamship to sail the full length of the Panama Canal – a milestone in the history of shipping.
