Ron Abuelo Añejo XV Años NAPOLEON Cognac Cask Finish is a 15-year-old rum from Panama and part of Ron Abuelo’s special XV Finish series. For this bottling, selected reserves from the distillery are first carefully aged in American oak casks. This is followed by a further ageing phase in selected cognac casks until a total ageing period of 15 years is reached. The name ‘Napoleon’ refers to the high degree of maturation of the cognac that was previously stored in the casks used for the finish. This gives the aged Panama Rum a distinctive cask character, which complements the original ageing in American oak with additional influences from the cognac casks.


Ron Abuelo XV Napoleon Cognac Cask Finish is bottled at 40% in a 0.7-litre bottle, complete with a gift box. It is particularly worth noting that no colouring is added to this bottling. The combination of carefully selected reserves, American oak and the final Cognac cask finish is the defining feature of this 15-year-old edition. Ron Abuelo thus combines its Panamanian rum tradition with a type of cask that previously held a particularly long-aged Cognac.
