Noilly Prat Original Dry is a legendary French vermouth with an alcohol content of 18 per cent by volume, prized worldwide for its dry style and unmistakable aroma. Noilly Prat is famous for its dry vermouth and is regarded as the epitome of classic French aperitif culture. This time-honoured house was founded as early as 1813 and has been one of the world’s leading vermouth producers ever since. Since 1843, production has continued unchanged according to the original recipe – a tribute to the brand’s artisanal precision and centuries-old expertise.

Noilly Prat Original Dry is produced in Marseillan, on the French Mediterranean coast, using a process that is unique worldwide. The base wines, made from the regional grape varieties Picpoul and Clairette, are aged for 12 months in 600-litre oak barrels under the open sky. This open-air ageing allows for natural air exchange, which lends the wine an oxidative depth and its characteristic, slightly nutty note. The wine is then infused with a blend of 20 different herbs and spices sourced from four continents. These include, amongst others, camomile, coriander from Morocco, bitter orange from Tunisia, cardamom from India and elderflower. This blend is responsible for the refined spiciness and the unmistakable character of Noilly Prat Original Dry.
