Description
Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to develop. After cultivating their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionised grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now located in a renovated 17th century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant'Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.
Grappa is one of the oldest and most traditional drinks in Italy and is produced as a marc spirit from the residue of previously pressed grapes. Grappa Sandro embodies this artisanal process and its appearance symbolises the noble drop at the moment of its creation. This grappa is distilled in traditional copper alembics using the bain-marie heating system to preserve the original aromas and flavours of the grapes as much as possible.
To achieve an exceptional result, Grappa Sandro matures for around 6 months in steel tanks before bottling, which further enhances its depth of flavour and elegance.
