Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to develop. After cultivating their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionised grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now located in a renovated 17th century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant'Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.

Grappa is one of the oldest and most traditional drinks in Italy and is produced as a marc spirit from the residue of previously pressed grapes. Bottega Fiasco Grappa Chianti is made from the grapes used for Chianti from the hilly regions between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, giving it its characteristic flavour and capturing the essence of these famous wine-growing regions.
