The Dictador BEST OF 1979 APASIONADO Colombian Rum Limited Release is an exclusive vintage rum bottling from Colombia, with an alcohol content of 42 per cent, in a 0.7-litre bottle. It forms part of Dictador’s renowned Best Of series, in which particularly rare and long-aged vintage distillates from the company’s historic stocks are bottled. The 1979 vintage forms the basis of this exceptional edition. Dictador hails from Cartagena de Indias in Colombia, where the tropical climate exerts a significant influence on the ageing of the rums. The Best Of Collection stands out from the regular range, in particular, through the careful selection of individual vintage stocks and their strictly limited availability.

Within the Dictador Best Of Collection, the designation ‘APASIONADO’ represents a distinct series of particularly high-quality and unique bottlings. The Dictador Best of 1979 Apasionado is characterised by its historic vintage, long maturation and pronounced cask character. Unlike regular standard bottlings, this edition is specifically aimed at collectors, connoisseurs and enthusiasts of rare Colombian vintage rums. At 42% ABV, the matured rum is presented at a moderate drinking strength, which allows its complex character to shine through. The 1979 vintage and its place in the limited-edition Apasionado range also make the 0.7-litre bottle an interesting collector’s item within the extensive Dictador portfolio.
