The Dictador BEST OF 1980 ALTISIMO Colombian Rum Limited Release is an exceptional vintage rum from Colombia, bottled at 41 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle. This edition forms part of Dictador’s exclusive Best Of series, for which particularly characterful and rare rum reserves are selected from the company’s historic stocks. The focus of this bottling is the 1980 vintage, which emphasises its distinctive vintage character. The Best Of Collection is specifically aimed at connoisseurs of long-aged rums and presents selected stocks in small quantities, with the individual character of each cask playing a key role.

Within the Best Of Collection, the ALTISIMO series holds a special place. For these editions, Dictador draws on the influence of selected whisky casks from the Scottish Highlands, thereby enriching the classic style of Colombian rum with additional cask nuances. The concept aims in particular to combine floral notes, peat and smoke with the rum’s mature character. Another distinctive feature of the Best Of series is the hand-labelled bottles, which are personally signed by Master Blender Hernan Parra. This lends each bottle additional collector’s appeal. The Dictador Best of 1980 ALTISIMO thus combines a historic vintage, an exceptional selection of casks and artisanal presentation to create an exclusive bottling for Dictador collectors and connoisseurs of rare vintage rums.
