The Dictador BEST OF 1980 APASIONADO Colombian Rum 37YO/260917/EX-P112 is an exceptional 37-year-old rum rarity from Colombia, with an alcohol content of 42 per cent, in a 0.7-litre bottle. This bottling forms part of the exclusive Dictador Best of Collection, for which selected, exceptionally long-aged rum reserves from the Colombian distillery have been chosen. The focus is on the 1980 vintage, whilst the detailed labelling 37YO/260917/EX-P112 identifies this specific bottling within the collection. The designation ‘APASIONADO’ represents a distinct selection within the Best of Collection and makes this rum an interesting alternative to the ‘Extremo’ and ‘Altisimo’ variants in the range.

With a certified age of 37 years, the Dictador Best of 1980 Apasionado possesses a distinct character as a rarity and collector’s item. Over several decades, the rum has been able to develop and build up a complex blend of ripe fruit, toasted and woody notes. The bottling strength of 42% ABV lends the EX-P112 variant a distinctive character and sets it apart, amongst other things, from the equally 37-year-old EX-P115 bottling at 41% ABV. In particular, the combination of the 1980 vintage, the genuine 37-year-old age statement and its individual labelling makes this premium Colombian rum a rare bottling for collectors, connoisseurs and enthusiasts of exceptionally old rums.
