The rum is made from molasses and undergoes a three-day fermentation at the renowned Trinidad Distillers Limited. It is initially aged for 10 years in traditional bourbon casks before spending a further 12 months maturing in ex-Cognac casks made of French oak in the cellars of the Château de Bonbonnet in Cognac.
