Dictador BEST OF 1987 APASIONADO Colombian Rum is an outstanding, 30-year-old release from the exclusive ‘Best Of’ range by the renowned Colombian distillery Dictador. This rare edition comes from a single, carefully selected cask and has been bottled at 43% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle. The ‘Apasionado’ variant is characterised by its distinctive sweetness and depth, achieved through a sophisticated ageing process in ex-sherry and ex-port casks.

Dictador is renowned for its Solera methods, combined with traditional column distillation using virgin sugar cane honey, which lends this rum its elegant smoothness and complexity. Each bottle in this limited edition is numbered and represents a genuine collector’s item for connoisseurs of fine, matured rums.

Limited to 300 bottles worldwide.

“All our rums are rums. In 2016 we had an issue with the Colombian authorities and there was a small batch of ‘Best of’ rums where we had to include the phrase ‘Spirit Drink’ on the back label. It was merely a one-off. I hope this won’t be a major problem for you.” – Dictador

“As informed by the production team, in the past we used a different glass supplier and the bottle had a much thinner base, hence this visual effect in some of our bottles. Feel free to open one bottle at our expense and check it.” – Dictador
