The Whistler Irish Whiskey IMPERIAL STOUT FINISH 43% vol. 0.7 l + GB is an innovative release from the Boann Distillery, based in the Boyne Valley, Ireland. The distillery is renowned for its artisanal production, its use of pure spring water from the region, and its traditional copper stills. With this edition from the Whistler series, Boann impressively demonstrates how modern finishing methods can enrich classic Irish whisky with exciting flavours.


The base is a blended Irish whiskey made from malt and grain whiskey, which is initially matured in ex-bourbon casks. It is then given a special finish in Imperial Stout beer casks, which lend it exceptional depth and new flavour nuances. The combination of whisky and craft beer creates an intriguing interplay of flavours, featuring sweet maltiness, roasted notes, dark chocolate and a creamy richness. With an alcohol content of 43% vol., the whisky is full-bodied, yet smooth and well-balanced.
