The Glenmorangie Distillery, founded in 1843 in the Scottish Highlands near Tain, is famous for its exquisite single malt Scotch whiskies. Glenmorangie Barrel Select Release 12 Years Old Malaga Cask Finish undergoes a two-stage maturation process that profoundly shapes its flavour profile. First, it matures in hand-selected American oak bourbon casks, which impart classic notes of vanilla and caramel. It is then finished in ex-Malaga wine casks, a step inspired by the creative experimentation of Dr Bill Lumsden.
