Description
Located on St. Thomas in the Caribbean, the A.H. Riise distillery combines more than just excellent flavour in its spirits - it captures a rich history. Founded in the 1840s by pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise, during the island's time as a Danish colony, each bottle combines traditional distilling skills with its founder's passion for discovery. Riise's discoveries of new plants and herbs in the West Indies still shape the characteristic flavour of the premium rums today. A.H. Riise celebrates a heritage of adventure with every drop.
A.H. Riise Pharmacy 1838 Bitter, originally created on St Thomas more than a century and a half ago, serves as a tribute to the A.H. Pharmacy Hall established in 1838. Traditionally, bitter drinks were considered effective remedies for headaches, stomach aches and to improve digestion, integrated into the natural healing arts. With its complex flavour profile, made up of an exquisite blend of ingredients such as galangal root, Ingwerer, bitter orange, curaçao peel and cardamom, AH Riise 1838 Bitter offers an exceptional taste experience.
