The Bushmills Distillery, situated in picturesque County Antrim in Northern Ireland, is the world’s oldest licensed whisky distillery. Its origins date back to 1608, when Sir Thomas Phillips was granted the first licence to produce whisky in the region. For over 400 years, the art of whisky production has been cultivated here at the Bushmills Distillery and passed down from generation to generation.

Bushmills 16 Year Old Single Malt is something quite special, as it is matured for over sixteen years in three different types of cask: first, it matures in bourbon casks, where it absorbs aromas of almonds and honey. It then develops its smooth, balanced texture in Oloroso sherry casks. The final maturation in port casks gives it its deep ruby-red colour and leaves a lingering, sweet and fruity note.

The interplay of these cask types makes it a complex and full-bodied whisky that delights even the most discerning connoisseurs.
