Located in the heart of Spain’s Sherry region, this distillery produces this unique brandy with the utmost precision and craftsmanship. Cardenal Mendoza is named after Don Pedro Gonzales de Mendoza, who became famous not only for his great influence on the Spanish royal family, but also as an adviser to Christopher Columbus under the title ‘El Gran Cardenal de España’.

The NEBULIS Rare Cask Finished is produced on the basis of the Cardenal Mendoza Clásico. This is first matured for 15 years in ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which already lends it a deep complexity. It is then aged further in small, charred 250-litre wooden casks, which lend it exceptional complexity and unique aromas. The name ‘Nebulis’ comes from Latin and means ‘from the clouds’, which underlines the rare and almost mystical nature of this exceptional Cardenal Mendoza.
