The Bunnahabhain Distillery, situated on the picturesque coast of the Isle of Islay, was founded in 1881 and is renowned for its unique, unpeated whiskies. The distillery originally relied on maritime trade and experienced a turning point in 1960 with the construction of a new road, which improved logistics. Following a brief closure in the 1930s and the last ship’s arrival in 1993, the road became the main supply route. In 2006, following its acquisition by Burn Stewart Distillers, the brand’s image was given a modern makeover. The water used for the whiskies comes from calcareous springs and is channelled to the distillery without coming into contact with peat, which gives the whiskies their mild, characteristic flavour.

AONADH, derived from Gaelic and meaning ‘union’, is a 10-year-old single malt Scotch whisky, created through harmonious maturation in carefully selected sherry casks. Following this initial maturation, the Bunnahabhain AONADH is given an exceptional finish in port casks, which lends it an additional dimension of flavour and complexity.
