Description
Cognac Ferrand Sélection des Anges Grande Champagne, with an alcohol content of 41.8% vol., is an exceptional cognac that reflects the high level of craftsmanship and long tradition of Maison Ferrand. Maison Ferrand, a family-run business since 1989, was founded through a partnership between Alexandre Gabriel and the Pierre Ferrand family, one of France’s oldest families of cognac producers. The company’s headquarters are in Paris, but the cognac is produced in the legendary Grande Champagne region, renowned worldwide for its first-class cognacs.
The name ‘Sélection des Anges’, which translates as ‘Selection of the Angels’, refers to the high quality and lengthy ageing process of this cognac. The Sélection des Anges is a blend of 25- to 35-year-old eaux-de-vie, which are aged in new, medium-toasted oak casks before being decanted into used Ferrand casks, giving the cognac a particularly complex and balanced structure. This long ageing process allows fruity, floral and woody aromas to develop, harmonising perfectly with one another.
