In the 10th century, during the reign of King Gagik I of the Bagratuni dynasty, a luxurious residence was built on Akhtamar Island.
The name of the island is derived from the legend of Princess Tamar and her love for a handsome young Manner who drowned in Lake Van with the words "Ah, Tamar".
Mount Ararat is the most cherished symbol of Armenian culture. The oldest vineyards in the world are located on its slopes.
The Ararat Erebuni 30 Years Old was named in honour of the Erebuni fortress dating back to 782 BC. This is also the year in which today's Armenian capital Yerevan, one of the oldest cities in the world, was founded.
This brandy is a blend of over 30 different rare and exquisite distillates. The oldest distillate for this brandy dates back to 1934.
