Description
Courvoisier VS Cognac is a refined and particularly popular cognac, renowned for its delicate balance of fruitiness, spice and woody notes. Courvoisier is one of the world’s four leading cognac houses and boasts a long tradition dating back to 1828. According to legend, Courvoisier was chosen by Kaiser Napoleon himself as his favourite cognac, which is why this cognac is also known as the ‘Napoleon Cognac’. Courvoisier VS is a blend of cognacs that have been aged for between three and seven years in oak barrels, mainly from the Crus Fins Bois and a small proportion from Petite Champagne. This blend of cognacs aged for varying lengths of time creates a particularly broad and complex flavour profile.
With an alcohol content of 40% vol., Courvoisier VS has a pleasant strength that comes into its own both neat and in cocktails. The meticulous production process and skilful blending of the various crus make Courvoisier VS a superbly balanced cognac, characterised by fruity aromas of apples and plums, as well as a gentle hint of vanilla. Ageing in wooden casks also lends it a pleasant depth and subtle spiciness.
