The Benriach THE TWENTY FIVE Single Malt Four Cask Matured is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky matured for at least 25 years, which exemplifies the Benriach Distillery’s versatile cask and distillation philosophy in a particularly sophisticated manner. For THE TWENTY FIVE, peated and unpeated whiskies are blended together, having matured for decades in sherry casks, bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks and Madeira Island wine casks. This four-cask maturation lends the bottling a particular depth, with the different cask characters blending harmoniously after a quarter of a century. Fruity and malty notes meet matured oak and the characteristic, elegantly integrated smokiness for which Benriach’s peated distillates are renowned.


The Benriach Distillery was founded in Speyside as early as 1898, but was forced to close after a short period of operation and did not resume production until 1965. Today, Benriach is particularly distinguished by its work with different styles of distillate and a wide variety of cask types. The Benriach THE TWENTY FIVE 25 Years Old consistently embodies this philosophy, blending four different cask types to create a complex, long-matured single malt. The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, with its colour derived exclusively from cask maturation. With its combination of 25 years’ maturation, peated and unpeated spirit, and Bourbon, sherry, virgin oak and Madeira casks, THE TWENTY FIVE ranks among the very finest expressions in the Benriach portfolio.
