Kuro Kirishima Shochu is a premium Japanese sweet potato shochu (imo shochu) with an alcohol content of 25 % vol., bottled in a traditional 0.72-litre bottle. Produced by Kirishima Shuzo, one of Japan’s best-known shochu distilleries, this shochu epitomises authentic craftsmanship and decades of experience in producing regional specialities. The word ‘Kuro’ means ‘black’ and refers to the use of black koji (Kuro Koji) during fermentation, which lends the shochu a particular depth and umami.
