This single pot still whisky is made from a mash of malted barley, unmalted barley and Irish oats. The combination of these ingredients gives it a distinctive, creamy texture and a complex flavour profile. Hyde No.12 is matured for at least five years in 200-litre ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak, before being finished in Oloroso sherry casks. This double maturation allows the whisky to develop a harmonious balance of fruity, sweet and spicy notes.
