The Kujira Ryukyu 15 Years Old Single Grain Whisky is an exceptional Japanese single grain whisky from Okinawa, which differs significantly from classic barley whiskies. This characterful Ryukyu whisky is produced by the long-established Masahiro Distillery, which was founded back in 1883 and is one of Okinawa’s oldest and largest distilleries. Instead of barley, this premium single grain whisky is made exclusively from 100 per cent high-quality rice, resulting in a particularly smooth, silky texture.


It is matured for over 15 years in a combination of sherry casks, bourbon casks and American white oak casks. Okinawa’s subtropical climate, with its warm, humid storage conditions, accelerates the maturation process and intensifies the interaction with the casks, allowing fruity and botanical nuances to develop particularly distinctly. These climatic characteristics lend the 15-year-old Japanese rice whisky a dense structure and aromatic depth. Bottled at 43 per cent and presented in a high-quality gift box, this edition elegantly combines tradition, craftsmanship and regional uniqueness.
