Matsui Whisky THE KURAYOSHI 8 Years Old Pure Malt Whisky 43% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an elegant Japanese pure malt whisky produced at the historic Matsui Shuzō distillery in Tottori Prefecture. The distillery is picturesquely situated at the foot of Mount Daisen, where exceptionally pure spring water from volcanic rock is used in the production process. This water is considered one of the key factors contributing to the smoothness and clarity of Kurayoshi whisky.


The Kurayoshi 8 Years Old is matured for at least eight years in selected oak casks, some of which were previously used for bourbon. This long cask maturation gives it a harmonious blend of fruitiness, mild sweetness and a gentle spiciness. As a pure malt, it consists exclusively of various malt whiskies that have been masterfully blended to create a complex yet accessible flavour profile. With an alcohol content of 43% vol., it is full-bodied, yet always balanced and smooth.
