The Ardbeg ARDCORE The Ultimate Committee Release 2022 is a limited special bottling created especially for the Ardbeg Committee members. With an alcohol content of 46% vol., this Islay single malt whisky shows a rebellious and extraordinary side of the distillery. The special feature of this edition is the use of black, toasted barley malt, which gives it a particularly strong, almost punky intensity.

Ardbeg is one of the most traditional distilleries on Islay. Whisky has been distilled here unofficially since 1794, before John McDougall officially opened the distillery in 1815. The name "Ardbeg" comes from the Gaelic and means "little hill" - fitting for the distillery's location on the south coast of the legendary whisky region of Islay, which is known for its peaty and maritime-influenced whiskies.
