The Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection VAT 02 Rich & Dark is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky that is matured entirely in European oak casks previously filled with sherry. A distinctive feature of this bottling is the Solera process employed by Glenfiddich. Following cask maturation, the whiskies are blended together in the eponymous Solera Vat 2. With each bottling, only around half of the whisky is drawn from the vat and then topped up with new whisky. Part of the previous blend thus remains in the vat at all times and becomes part of the next batch. This ongoing process is designed to create additional depth, complexity and continuity over time, and forms the central concept of the Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection.


At 43 per cent, the Glenfiddich VAT 02 Rich & Dark is presented in a generous 1-litre bottle, complete with a gift box. The exclusive use of European oak sherry casks characterises the robust and darker style of this variant, whilst the blending in Solera Vat 2 ensures a harmonious interplay between the individual whisky components. This bottling is part of the Perpetual Collection, a range developed exclusively for the global travel retail market. As such, VAT 02 combines Glenfiddich’s long-standing Speyside tradition with a continuous blending process and a pronounced sherry cask influence. The combination of full sherry cask maturation, European oak, Solera Vat 2 and travel retail exclusivity makes this edition a distinctive Glenfiddich bottling.
