It is matured for ten years in a sophisticated combination of different cask types. 65 per cent is stored in first-fill American whisky casks, which impart sweet notes of vanilla and caramel. 10 per cent is matured in second-fill American whisky casks, adding gentle woody accents and a subtle spiciness. 25 per cent is finished in second-fill French wine casks, which impart additional fruity and spicy nuances to the whisky. This cask composition gives Port Charlotte 10 a unique balance between robust smoke, sweet vanilla and fruity notes, and a delicate oak spiciness.

Its alcohol content of 50% ABV ensures impressive intensity, whilst its smooth texture and complex flavour profile create a perfect harmony between power and elegance.
