The Tomintoul Distillery, situated in the Scottish Highlands within the Cairngorms National Park and named after the nearby village of Tomintoul, opened its doors in 1964 and is now owned by Angus Dundee Distillers.

Situated at an altitude of 370 metres above sea level, Tomintoul is Scotland’s second-highest distillery, surpassed only by the Braeval Distillery, which was founded in 1973. Although the majority of the 3.2 million litres of spirit produced annually is exported to the United States for use in blends, Tomintoul regularly releases special single-cask bottlings.

This exceptional whisky begins its maturation process in carefully selected bourbon casks, where it develops its core flavours. It is then finished in fine cognac casks, which lend it additional depth and complexity. This double cask maturation creates a distinctive character that delights both enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.
