Cristóbal Niña is a premium spiced rum, created in honour of Christopher Columbus and his ship, the Niña. The name ‘Niña’ pays homage to one of the three ships on which Columbus sailed to the Americas on his first expedition in 1492. The rum is distilled in the Dominican Republic by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, the country’s largest spirits producer. The use of the company’s own sugar cane, combined with the tropical ageing conditions, results in a rum that reflects the authentic character and tradition of the Dominican Republic.

This spiced rum is aged for between 8 and 12 years in ex-bourbon casks, giving it a complex depth and richness. Ageing under tropical conditions gives the rum its rich flavour, which harmonises with spices and the characteristic sweetness of a mature rum.

Cristóbal Niña pays tribute to the historic adventure of Columbus and his ship, which symbolises the discovery of new worlds. Although the fate of the Niña after Columbus’s expedition remains unknown, its legacy lives on in this exceptional rum.
