The name ‘Sljivovica’ is derived from the Croatian word ‘Slivja’ (plum) and already reveals a great deal about Croatia’s national drink. The Bistrica plums, grown around the capital Zagreb, form the basis of this exceptional plum brandy.

Before fermentation, the harvested plums are carefully sorted and selected. They are then crushed together with their ground stones and distilled in copper stills. The spirit is then aged for around three years in oak barrels.
