Dalwhinnie The Distillers Edition Double Matured is a refined version of the classic Dalwhinnie single malt and comes from the high-altitude Dalwhinnie Distillery, situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands. The name ‘Dalwhinnie’ is derived from the Gaelic ‘Dail-coinneeamh’, meaning ‘meeting place’ – a reference to the region’s historical significance as a crossroads for travellers.

This special Distillers Edition undergoes a double maturation process, with the whisky first being aged in classic oak casks and then finished in Oloroso-seasoned American oak casks. This additional maturation lends it a deeper, sweeter and more complex aroma, characterised by nutty, fruity and spicy notes. With an alcohol content of 43% vol., it remains smooth and elegant, whilst retaining the characteristic light smokiness typical of Dalwhinnie.
