Cork, situated on the southern coast of Ireland, is home to the picturesque town of Skibbereen, through which the River Ilen flows. This region is renowned for its scenic beauty and cultural significance, particularly in the tradition of whisky-making. In 2007, three friends founded the West Cork Distillery in Skibbereen. This small, independent distillery is renowned for producing high-quality whiskies, crafted with great care and artisanal skill.

From the very beginning, the founders have prioritised quality and tradition, combined with an innovative approach. The West Cork Distillery uses crystal-clear spring water and carefully selected grains. This commitment reflects the spirit of innovation and craftsmanship that characterise the Irish whisky industry.

This bottling contains 66 per cent malted and 33 per cent unmalted barley, giving it a high malt content. The whisky is matured for five years in first-fill bourbon casks, which lend it exceptional depth and complexity. The whisky is neither coloured nor chill-filtered, preserving its natural colour and full depth of flavour.
