Originally known as ‘Tatra tea’, this tea originates from the Tatra Mountains, an impressive part of the Carpathian mountain range in Eastern Europe. In the past, people in this region firmly believed that there was a specific medicinal herb for every illness. The ingredients for their ‘healing concoctions’ were simple and effective: hot water was mixed with honey, garlic, tallow and alcohol to achieve healing effects.

This tradition lives on today in Tatratea Liqueur, which uses black tea from India, oak wood shavings and carefully selected herbs and spices. This modern liqueur preserves the essence of the original recipe and combines it with contemporary flavours.

The Hibiscus & Red Tea Liqueur is produced through a labour-intensive maceration process and is then bottled in eye-catching, berry-coloured bottles with an alcohol content of 37 per cent. The water used in production comes from the pure springs of the Tatra Mountains, which contributes to the liqueur’s outstanding quality and distinctive flavour.
