The Luigi Francoli Grappa Chardonnay, at 41.5% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle, embodies the classic Italian grappa tradition of Piedmont and combines the art of precise distillation with the distinctive character of the Chardonnay grape variety. This Grappa di Chardonnay is produced by the long-established Distillerie Francoli, which has been renowned for generations for its artisanal quality and distinct style. It is made from freshly pressed Chardonnay pomace, which is delivered directly to the distillery by local winegrowers, thus preserving its aromatic freshness.


At the distillery, the pomace is first fermented, during which alcohol is produced from the natural fruit sugars. This is followed by continuous distillation, in which the alcohol and aromas are gently extracted from the pomace. The middle cut obtained in this process is characterised by exceptional purity and smoothness. To harmonise the flavours, the grappa is aged for around six months in stainless steel tanks, preserving its clarity, structure and varietal character. This white grappa is bottled crystal-clear at 41.5 per cent, giving it a robust body and noticeable strength. Thanks to the gentle processing, the distinctive Chardonnay aromas remain clearly recognisable, lending the grappa depth and character.
