Citadelle Rouge Original Dry Gin is a fruit-forward interpretation of the French Citadelle Gin, combining the brand’s tried-and-tested botanical recipe with selected red fruits and rhubarb. The gin is based on Citadelle Gin’s 19 original botanicals, which give it its classic juniper and spice profile. These are complemented by cranberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackcurrant and rhubarb. Citadelle relies on natural ingredients, allowing the various fruit components to be integrated into the existing gin recipe. Despite its pronounced fruitiness, Citadelle Rouge remains clear in the glass and presents itself as an aromatic dry gin.

With an alcohol content of 41.7 per cent and a bottle size of 0.7 litres, Citadelle Rouge Gin combines classic gin production with a modern focus on red fruits. The combination of 19 botanicals, berries and the characteristic tartness of rhubarb creates a distinctive variant within the Citadelle range, without resorting to artificial colouring. The gin received international recognition in 2023, amongst other accolades, when it was named Best Gin at the Spirits of the Year competition organised by Cavistes & Co.
